Park Synopsis	General Information
Originally opened in 1968 in Redwood city, CA. Moved to Vallejo in 1986. The Park has gone through numerous name changes over the years. In 1996 the owners defaulted on it's debt to Vallejo and now the City of Vallejo owns the park. In 1996 Six Flags was hired to improve the park and manage it, as it still does to this day, with an option to buy. Discovery Kingdom is an absolutely gorgeous park. With all the new improvements it's even better than ever. There is so much to do there I cant list them all. Discovery Kingdom has a lot of stuff geared for kids as well as adults. Discovery Kingdom is definitely a great alternative to a Zoo or Sea World.	Prices

Tips and tricks
Get a photo pass and keep it handy. See & buy all photos online.	There is a Motel 6 within walking distance.
Allow two days to see everything the park has to offer.	Don't buy Flash passes, unless it's really crowded & you don't think you'll be able to ride anything.
Buy all tickets online, its cheaper.	Avoid photo takers behind the ticket booths, better backgrounds once your inside.
Definitely get a season pass. You also get a coupon book.	Open all bags and empty pockets before you get to security check.
One adult should buy the xtreme pass. You get free parking, free Flash passes (you can share)	Smokers, smoking areas are plentiful, but spaced.
Don't miss the tiger show!	You can touch and have your picture taken with a Dolphin. (extra fee.)
