Built in 1971 by the some of the same people that brought you Sea World.(I won't go into details, I will put in links to other sites that will do that.) The park originally was designed to be family oriented. Six Flags bought Magic Mountain in 1979. In the late 80's Magic Mountain swayed from a Family park to an all thrills park, racing to be the "extreme park" and continued that tradition until recently. Six Flags has seen the error of it's ways and is franticly trying to bring back the families. Now, after years of neglect Magic Mountain is getting some much needed improvements, the renovation is slow, but showing everywhere. Especially in the parks tidiness. There is lots to do if you have children. There's Bugs Bunny World, The animal farm, the Batman stunt show, character breakfasts and much more. If you're going with adults and teens, then definitely this is the park for you. Magic Mountain is the Rollercoaster Mecca for the West Coast. With 16 Rollercoasters this park will fill your thrill needs for quite a while. Also Magic Mountain is the home of the only multi-dimensional coaster in North America. |

| If you go at opening. Run to X2!!! There will be a 2 hour wait the rest of the day. Flash pass is not accepted on X2. | Don't buy Flash passes, unless it's really crowded & you don't think you'll be able to ride anything. |
| Buy all tickets online, its cheaper. Beware online fee! | Avoid photo takers behind the ticket booths, better backgrounds once your inside. |
| Definitely get a season pass. You also get a coupon book. | Open all bags and empty pockets before you get to security check. |
| One adult should buy the xtreme pass. You get free parking, free Flash passes (you can share), and 25% off at Flags. |
Smokers, smoking areas are by most restrooms. Not too shabby. |
| Eat at the Mooseburger Lodge. It has the best food and Anima-tronic animals. | The best place to see characters is the entrance to Bugs Bunny World and around the Entrance Plaza and Valencia Falls. |
